While i’m never short of ideas, both aural and visual, i’ve always found that a positivist approach rarely results in art I really feel like owning. The tracks on “ITACIDTWATQ” were originally developed as the audio component of a live AV performance. The equanimity with which I applied these sounds to each other and to vision encouraged a constant evolution of both sound and image. Trying to nail all this down to a form that I can then retire seems antithetical to an open evolutionary work. I have been mixing this material for 4 months now, and it sounds different every time I hear it, but it is time I set this iteration free to play with you. This is a dynamic snapshot that will allow you to paint your own picture.

A prescription for the enhancement of oneirological pursuits, be it art, reading, sleep, or a free three-quarter hour meditation in an unlit space. It evolves and so will you.

Lloyd Barrett has spent the last 5 years working on a suitable sound for this project – with the only official release being a “cover” of the Coil track “Spastiche” on the Balance tribute album “the loneliest link in a very strange chain”. While retaining the sidereal nature of Coil, SKON has become inextricably linked to guitar worship. Channelling nocturnal emissions from spirit landscapes both internal and extraterrestrial this however is no G3 style tech hysteria. Lloyd’s guitar “gods” include Justin Broadrick, Snakefinger, Sunn O))), James Plotkin and Birchville Cat Motel.
